I was born and raised in Glenview, Illinois and currently live in Northbrook with my husband and three-year-old daughter. I received a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Missouri and worked for years in Marketing and Graphic Design. But once I had my daughter, I put my career on hold to stay home with her. And while I loved being a stay-at-home mom, I felt unfulfilled creatively.

In the fall of 2023, I offered to take photos for some friends’ Christmas cards and realized that a) I was good at photography and b) I loved doing it! My eye for design helped with composition and being a mom meant I was good with kids—a match made in heaven.

In the summer of 2024, I jumped in and started doing family sessions for friends and family and it took off from there! Jackie Anker Photography was born.

My style is all about natural light, true colors and real families. I love to capture sweet candids, silly moments, big smiles and, of course, the classic family portrait. Let me get the shots you’ll instantly want to print AND frame for your living room.
